The Florida police (United States) recently launched an appeal for witnesses to solve a 30-year-old case. After years of searching and investigating, she still hasn’t been able to identify a woman found dead in the woods in January 1993, reports RMC Crime. Hidden in the bushes, his body had been found by two young boys who were looking for their ball.
Alerted, Flager County investigators immediately took up the case. At that time, they had estimated that the victim’s death dated back to two or three years before his body was found. Using the remains of her corpse, they had managed to come up with an approximate portrait of the woman at the time of her death.
In his statement released Friday, the county sheriff described the victim as being in his thirties. She would be of Indian origin and would measure approximately 1m60. She also reportedly suffered a broken nose shortly before her death. By launching this appeal to the public, the sheriff hopes to be able to gather new information. “We are hoping someone is able to identify this woman, so that the family who have been waiting for over 30 years can help them understand what happened to her. We’re sure someone knows something,” he said.
