PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) released a new variant of the Corolla Cross Hybrid. This crossover SUV is subject to improvements in the performance and aesthetic sectors.
The Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S is the highest variant, and TAM is currently making sure that it no longer sells the petrol variant.
“It’s been marketed now, so there are 2 types. The top GR-S costs Rp. 600 million. Meanwhile, the non-GR-S costs Rp. 500 million,” said Marketing Director of PT TAM, Anton Jimmi at the launch at IIMS, JIExpo Kemayoran, Thursday (16 /2/2023).
Now the Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S with a sporty appearance complements the GAZOO Racing line-up in Indonesia, its role has been increased to not only maintain its sporty style, but also strengthen its sporty feeling.
Anton said that the Corolla Cross Hybrid GR-S variant received special adjustments that had been applied to improve performance and handling, making the driving experience more enjoyable.
This 5-passenger urban SUV measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,825 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height.
The hybrid version of the Corolla Cross carries a 2ZR-FXE engine with a capacity of 1,798 cc 4-cylinder DOHC with VVT-i technology which is capable of producing a maximum power of 98 PS and 142.1 Nm of torque. The machine is collaborated with an electric motor capable of producing a maximum power of 72 PS and a torque of 162.7 Nm.
The presence of the New Corolla Cross version of the GR Sport is the first GR model with Hybrid EV technology in Indonesia. This model also complements the other GR lineup, namely GR Yaris, GR Supra, GR 86, All New Agya GR Sport, Fortuner GR Sport, Rush GR Sport, Raize GR Sport, Hilux GR Sport and Yaris GR Sport.
