Former Chairman of the Hanura Party Wiranto became one of the retired figures associated with the issue of joining PAN. Deputy Chair of the Advisory Council of the Hanura Party Inas Nasrullah also heard about Wiranto’s meeting with PAN.
“Yes, more or less, information is more or less like that,” said Inas when contacted, Thursday (16/2/2023).
Inas mentioned the news Wiranto meeting with PAN because they are welcoming the 2024 Election. However, he did not explain further about this.
“This joined PAN because the election is approaching,” he said.
Apart from that, Inas said there was no talk from Wiranto regarding his decision. According to him, since joining the Presidential Advisory Council, Wiranto has had no contact with Hanura.
“Pak Wiranto, because he is in the Presidential Advisory Council, is not too much involved in Hanura,” he said.
detikcom has tried to inquire about this news to Waketum PAN Viva Yoga but has not responded. Party Wiranto have also been contacted regarding the news of meeting with PAN but have not provided an answer.
Retired Former Ketum to PAN
Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of PAN Yandri Susanto previously revealed the latticework of former party chairmen who would join his party. Yandri said that the figure of the former chairman is now serving in the government and is a retired officer.
“The former chairman, God willing, is true. Now he is in government, retired,” Yandri said at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Yandri said that the former chairman of the political party would be introduced directly by PAN General Chairperson Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) at the National Coordination Meeting of the PAN Election Winning Body in Semarang, Sunday (26/2). He said the event would also be opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
“Yes, at the Election Winning Body National Coordination Meeting on 26 (February) in Semarang, which, God willing, will be opened by Mr. Jokowi. Bang Zulhas will be introduced directly at the National Coordination Meeting,” said the deputy chairman of the MPR.
