The magazine specialized in cryptocurrencies, Coindesk, has highlighted the announcement from El Salvador about the opening of a Bitcoin Embassy in Texas, the ninth strongest economy in the world.
“El Salvador plans to open a ‘Bitcoin Embassy’ in Texas,” Coindesk highlighted in its headline, where it also cited the ambassador of El Salvador to the US, Milena Mayorga.
«The state of Texas, our new ally. In my meeting with the Deputy Secretary of the Government of Texas, Joe Esparza, we discussed the opening of the second Bitcoin Embassy and the expansion of commercial and economic exchange projects,” Mayorga said.
“El Salvador agreed to open a similar establishment in Lugano, Switzerland, in October with the aim of encouraging bitcoin adoption across Europe. It can be assumed that an equivalent in Texas would have a similar goal for bitcoin adoption in the US,” Coindesk recalled.
