Dusseldorf: Cars also check in at this hotel | Regional

Düsseldorf – Room with a view? Room with exhaust! On March 1st, the “b’mine” will open in Düsseldorf – appropriately on the Hoherweg car mile. The 202-room hotel is the first in the city with car lifts. It has 26 so-called “CarLofts” where the car also checks in!

BILD was already inside, parked as a test.

Once on the fifth floor, please! After booking, the car elevator can be conveniently opened by mobile phone

Exit? You don’t have to here anymore. Just lower the window, take out your cell phone – and one of the three special lifts opens (100,000 euros expensive, golden inside, designer lamps). In a few seconds you are on the fifth floor, rolling right next to the glass wall to the loft (32 square meters, from 159 euros per night).

While you’re zapping or working, you can keep an eye on your car, which is currently charging on your own wall box.

A dream for classic car owners and automobile fans? “Also,” says Robert Minge (37, Director of Operation). “But we’re not a car hotel, we’re geared more towards business people who travel a lot by car.” They save themselves the hassle of checking in, unloading and looking for a parking space.

There are also “CarLofts” in the houses in Cologne and Frankfurt. Minge: “These are proportionally the rooms with the best occupancy. And we’ve already had a lot of inquiries for Düsseldorf as well.” But the hotel also appeals to the car industry: there are event rooms on the top floor with car elevator access.
