The Prague Stock Exchange stopped this week’s gains and, as measured by the PX index, wrote off -0.23% to 1,407 points. Čez recorded a volatile session when it reached a new short-term maximum of CZK 1,069 at the beginning of trading, then gradually fell to a daily minimum of CZK 1,022 and closed the session with a loss of -1.05% at CZK 1,036. This happened with a high traded volume of CZK 732 million. With today’s decline, power plant emissions broke a respectable streak of ten consecutive increases and weakened for the first time in February. Erste Bank then lost -0.61% to CZK 848, insurance company Vig took -1.16% to CZK 598 and Komerční banka fell by -0.87% to CZK 742. On the contrary, the decline of the PX index was hampered by Moneta Money Bank, which added a solid 2.84% to 87 CZK.
