Dominique P. was indicted and imprisoned in September 2020 in Avignon for having delivered his chemically asleep wife, from 2013, to around fifty rapists. He was also subsequently indicted for two cold cases: a rape and murder committed in 1991 in Paris, and an attempted rape in 1999, from which the victim miraculously escaped.
A pen with a camera
However, new elements, revealed by The Parisian Wednesday, February 15, suggest that the retiree could have been arrested as early as 2010. At that time, Dominique P., who was not yet living in Mazan, in the Vaucluse, was arrested by the guard of a supermarket in the Paris region, while trying to film under the skirts of customers with a homemade camera.
“It was a pen equipped with a camera that he had tinkered with himself” confirms to Midi Libre his lawyer, Me Béatrice Zavarro. “These facts of July 13, 2010 will result in a fine”. And lead to its registration in the national genetic fingerprint file (Fnaeg).
Beaten, gagged and put to sleep with ether
Problem: from November 9, 2010, a report from the Fnaeg was sent to the public prosecutor’s office in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), because this DNA corresponds to a trace found during the savage attempt to rape an employee of a real estate agency de Villeparis, on May 11, 1999. During an apartment visit, she had been beaten, gagged and tied up by a client, who had tried to put her to sleep with ether to abuse her. She had managed to escape by a miracle.

However, this report will not lead to any consequences. “It seems that he remained a dead letter, which is dizzying for everyone, including the prosecution” constate Me Zavarro. “Especially since at the time, this file which had been closed by a dismissal was not yet prescribed.”
Two employees of real estate agencies
Same misunderstanding for Me Florence Rault, who defends the victims of the two cold cases for which Dominique P. was indicted last October: this attempted rape of 1999, and the murder and rape of another agency employee. real estate, Sophie Narme, 23, killed on December 4, 1991 in Paris.
Because after his arrest in September 2020 for the rapes committed on his wife, which began from 2013 in Mazan, the DNA of the suspect, reintroduced into the Fnaeg, again matched with the trace of 1999. This time, the file has been reopened, and has been linked to that of Sophie Narme, which has never been closed.
An identical procedure
“This file has always remained active in the criminal brigade, I fought so that it is not prescribed” explains the Parisian lawyer. “These two cases have exactly the same scenario, with real estate agencies facing the street, where the attacker gives a false name for the visit, and an identical modus operandi afterwards.”
This connection made it possible to reopen these two files. But the criminal course of Dominique P., which perhaps hides many other secrets, could undoubtedly have been stopped much earlier.
