The House of Representatives has long been concerned about TikTok, which has a Chinese parent company. The House fears that data from the social medium can be viewed by the Chinese government. Earlier, the ChristenUnie called for the app to be completely banned from the Netherlands. At the request of the VVD, the House will soon speak with experts about the dangers of the app.
