1st edition of the Giant Open: The Dôme Saint-Germain-en-Laye will welcome the best swimmers in the world on March 18 and 19, 2023.

French Swimming has invited the world’s best swimmers to meet on March 18 and 19, for an unprecedented event which is a major step in the preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The GIANT OPEN, organized jointly by the FRENCH SWIMMING FEDERATION and the EVENTEAM group, will be held at the DÔME SAINT-GERMAIN-EN-LAYE, an iconic fitness and well-being aquatic area in Île-de-France.

Ticketing for the event is already open on the Fédération Française de Natation website: https://ffnboutique.com/catalog/billetterie

We have a long tradition of hosting international sporting events. It was obvious for us to host the Giant Open with the support of all our partners, the Ile-de-France Region and the French Swimming Federation. We have a very strong dynamic with swimming on our territory, hosting the Giant Open is a way for us to be part of the Olympic era and high-level sport. Arnaud PERICARD, Mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye & President of SICGP member of Unilys.

A renowned ambassador

Double Olympic gold medalist and holder of multiple world and European podiums, Alain Bernard, giant of French Swimming, continues to proudly promote the practice of swimming nearly 10 years after his retirement from the pools. He has agreed to put his expertise and notoriety at the service of the GIANT OPEN, and to participate in the new ambitions of the FFN through this event, a major meeting which intends to bring together the biggest names on the world circuit each year. He will take advantage of this weekend to meet elected officials, share his experience as a champion with the public and promote the many projects in which he has been involved since his retraining, such as the “Savoir Nager” and “Demain le sport” programs.

“I am happy to support and commit to the Giant Open adventure. This is an opportunity for me to continue to follow very closely this new generation of very promising swimmers. I hope this event will unite the French public around our champions one year from Paris 2024.”

Alain BERNARD, Giant Open ambassador
