Two American fighter jets intercepted four Russian military aircraft near the state of Alaska on Monday. This was stated in a statement by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
Russian planes were Tu-95 bombers and Su-35 fighters.
They did not enter US or Canadian sovereign airspace,” NORAD said. Such Russian activity is observed “regularly and is not considered a threat, nor for provocative activity”.
We remind you that this is happening against the background of a series of aerial objects that the US and Canadian armies have shot down, and it is still being clarified who sent them and for what purpose. One of them was shot down over Alaska.
