Lukman said the 49,428 children were aged O to 12 years from 90 gampong (villages) or 11 health centers in Banda Aceh.
The target of 49,423 children is divided from the ages of O to 59 months, 24,731 children. Then for ages 5-7 years there were 7,789 children, and for ages 7-12 years there were 16,908 children.
“Among the children who were targeted, there were 14 SD, 14 MIN, 113 TK, 67 PAUD, and 10 Raudhatul Athfal (RA) throughout Banda Aceh, and the rest entered the world of education,” added Lukman.
He said that for the second round of Polio Sub PIN, his party had not encountered any problems like the first stage, namely that there were still parents who did not allow their children to be immunized with the drops.
“So far there have been no reports, because maybe today the second round will be held,” he said.
On this occasion, Lukman also mentioned that the first round of Polio Sub PIN and then his party had reached 97.6 percent of the total target of 49,428 people.
“The first round of polio sub PIN in Banda Aceh reached 97.6 percent, or as many as 43,251 children had received immunization,” said Lukman.
For your information, Aceh has started the second round of Polio Sub PIN since January 30, 2023. The second round of polio drops is given after fulfilling a minimum interval of 28 days since the first dose.
Administering these sweet polio drops must be done at least twice so that immunity can form from attacks by the dangerous polio virus.
On January 30, 2023, 13 districts/cities implemented the second round of Polio Sub-PIN namely Pidie, Pidie Jaya, Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Gayo Lues, Southeast Aceh, East Aceh, West Aceh, Nagan Raya, Southwest Aceh, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Singkil and South Aceh.
