Internationally renowned artist Julio Iglesias Jr. has set out to make this Valentine’s Day the most romantic of all time, with the release of his new album in English, ‘Under The Covers’.
“It is a record that I have made with a lot of love, it is a record of those songs that I have been listening to for many years and I am very lucky to be able to sing them now and to be able to do them in my style and in the way that I have loved all of them. life, right?” Iglesias Jr. said.
Julio visited the NY1 facilities and said that promoting his album in the Big Apple has a very special meaning.
“I have many beautiful memories from when I was little, I signed my first music contract here in this city, from my favorite cities here in the United States, look,” added Iglesias Jr.
‘Under The Covers’ was produced by the legendary Cuban-American musician Rudy Pérez, where the singer reinterprets 10 classic love ballads by the legendary Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder, among others. Giving it that touch of pop and classic sound that fits perfectly with his voice, but choosing them, he said, was not an easy task.
“Well, very difficult, very difficult, the part of only trying to make ten songs in this style, and Rudy Pérez, who is my producer, has produced a wonderful album where the truth is that I am super proud.”
“Today is the day! My new album, full of my favorite songs, is out today! Thank you to everyone who was involved in this album, including @jeweljk, @ItsBMcKnight, @TheFreds, Benny Mardones and our amazing producer @RudyPerezMusic. “Iglesias Jr. wrote in a message on social networks.

In addition to singer Jewel, “Under The Covers” features collaborations with artists such as Right Said Fred and Brian McKnight.
The 49-year-old artist entered the music business as a child, touring continents with his famous father Julio Iglesias, while he performed in front of millions of viewers around the world.
“Growing up in a family where men sing, where men are very lucky to do what we like, to have traveled the world teaching our music, it is something wonderful, it is something that I really admire a lot and I carry in my heart I love where I come from.”
‘Under the Covers’ is his first album completely in English, which he hopes his audience will enjoy because it is a gift of that love he shares with his father for the love ballads that continue to inspire generations around the world.
