The Basque Government has approved a decree that modifies and regulates the registration of collective labor agreements and agreements in the Basque Country to incorporate equality plans.
The purpose of this measure is to incorporate the Register of Equality Plans of Companies as part of the Register of collective labor agreements and agreements dependent on the labor authority of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi, and to update the normative references that with the passage of time time have become obsolete.
Royal Decree-Law 6/2019 on urgent measures to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in employment and occupation modified Organic Law 3/2007 for effective equality between women and men.

In addition, it ordered the regulatory development of the diagnosis, the contents, the subjects, the salary audits, the monitoring and evaluation systems of the equality plans, as well as the Registry of Equality Plans in relation to their constitution, characteristics and conditions for registration and access.
In compliance with said mandate, Royal Decree 901/2020 was issued, which regulates equality plans and their registration and modifies everything related to the registration and deposit of collective labor agreements and agreements, whose purpose is the regulatory development of equality plans, as well as their diagnosis.
