Film about actor Armin Mueller-Stahl in Grossenhain
The world star can be seen in the Kulturschloss on March 19, but no longer live, but in his film “There are days”.
Grossenhain. Jörg Rietdorf still vividly remembers the performance of actor and musician Armin Mueller-Stahl in 2016 at the Kulturschloss. “He was one of the very few German stars on the international film stage and is also an impressive musician,” says the managing director of the city’s cultural center. The actor played songs that were written 50 years ago in the GDR together with Günther Fischer, Tobias Morgenstern and Tom Götze. And revealed part of his own story. Back then, guests came from far away to see the artist, who also played in Hollywood.
This evening, which was already entitled “There are days”, will come to life again on March 19th in the Kulturschloss. A full-length Film with the same title is then shown. A journey through the life of Armin Mueller-Stahl, with many songs from his last concert two years after Grossenhain in the Berlin Winter Garden and intensive conversations with him. His musical companions also have their say, including Günther Fischer and Tobias Morgenstern.
“It’s a film that hasn’t been shown on television before and isn’t accessible through normal film distribution either,” says Hans-Joachim Hübenthal, Armin Mueller-Stahl’s manager and rights holder. It will only be presented at selected locations. The film shows the public successes, but also the private moments of this extraordinary artist in a very touching way.
Grossenhain has the chance to organize this extraordinary evening thanks to the long collaboration with Hans-Joachim Hübenthal. The owner of the Artist agency K&V Events from Leisnig also brought Günther Fischer, Uschi Brüning and Manfred Krug to Grossenhain. The documentary “There are days … The film – Armin Mueller-Stahl” can be booked by other organizers, so Hübenthal. The cinema should have at least 300 seats. Anyone who does not have the opportunity to see the documentary can learn a lot about the life of the actor, artist and musician Armin Mueller-Stahl in Felicia Engelmann’s book “Armin Mueller-Stahl: Little anecdotes from the life of a great actor”.
