Especially when it comes to GoldenEye, which outgrew the world of James Bond and gave an entire generation a defining gaming experience in the late nineties and early 2000s. For those who played it then, and for those who didn’t, it’s worth downloading it from the Xbox Game Pass game library.
White House: No signs of extraterrestrial activity in objects over US
Unforgettable atmosphere reminiscent of the 90s
This is perhaps the main argument in favor of GoldenEye. It’s not overcomplicated, yet it’s full of exciting tasks, you don’t have to spend hundreds of hours, it has a transparent, understandable gameplay. Despite the linear, simple structure, the game is captivating. There is no map, crafting, minutes-long walkthrough (explanatory) videos. Just you and James Bond.
Various levels and weapons
Whether it’s a snowy wasteland, a rainforest, a train, a missile silo, a lab, a ship, GoldenEye has it all. There are a lot of weapons in it, from the mine that can be detonated with the watch, to the “one shot, funeral” gold pistol, to the rocket launcher, and you can even drive a tank in it.
Variable difficulty, great control
There are more difficult parts, endlessly reproducing enemies, confusing tasks, the solution of which can be found after the twenty-third passage of the track. But! With the three difficulty levels, the amount and difficulty of the tasks also changes. It’s a great solution, beginners should try the first level.
Anyone who has ever used a Nintendo 64 controller in their life knows that it is not necessarily the best and most durable design, twenty-year-old joysticks are quite tired by now. However, the control transferred to Xbox was excellent, even better than the original!
Fantastic music
This is what everyone was already a fan of in 1997, and what you can only adore in 2023! Fast-paced music that always fits perfectly with the mood of the given tracks was included in the game. It’s quite simply perfect, it’s not even worth explaining too much, you have to listen.
Split screen multi option
Again, this is something that old gamers are more familiar with. When there were no online games, we called our friends over and shared a TV. Fortunately, the option of Multiplayer was also included in the Xbox version, of course in split screen.
You don’t need to hunt for an N64, a cassette, and normally working controllers
You can only get a console at a human price, but an arm with flawless analog and the GoldenEye cartridge of the white raven rarity already make the package significantly more expensive. So much so that a used Xbox with a Game Pass subscription comes out of it!
