The Emmenaar was located on the indoor gallery of a residential complex on the Hunenbaan. The property borders the Emmerdennen forest area and is next to the former youth hostel, which is now also an apartment building. Both buildings are owned by housing corporation Domesta. Relatively young people live in the buildings.
