Are you looking for a very exclusive sports car? If so, we might have a tip.
For sale is the New Stratos, i.e. the “new Stratos”, a project that was born thanks to the German billionaire Michael Stoschek and the Italian body shop Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT). The first of the planned series of 25 examples was completed in 2019.
And this piece is currently being offered for sale by Selected Car Investment. The price is of course extremely high, the unique machine is available for 1,062,500 euros, i.e. roughly 25.2 million crowns. Interestingly, in February 2020 the same car was auctioned by Bonhams, it was auctioned for 690,000 euros, which is about 16.4 million crowns according to the current exchange rate.
The first production new Stratos uses the technology of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia from 2009, which had covered approximately 30,000 kilometers when the rebuild began. All the components used for the construction of it, however, have been thoroughly checked and refurbished or replaced with new ones.
Power is provided by a 4308cc mid-mounted naturally aspirated V8 mated to a robotic six-speed gearbox with paddle shifters under the steering wheel for manual shifting. Power information varies: the ad mentions 375 kW, while the Bonhams auction house wrote 403 kW. The torque should reach 519 Nm, the sports car weighing 1247 kg can reportedly accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and accelerate to 320 km/h.
The piece for sale also boasts a famous livery in the colors of the airline Alitalia and a relatively minimalist interior. The car has only driven about four thousand kilometers since the conversion.
