A man who stole money by following two-wheeler women on a scooter was arrested. Manikuttan (52) was arrested at Vengallur PTVeet under the leadership of Thodupuzha DySP M.R.Madhubabu. According to the police, he starts the fraud by following women traveling on two-wheelers and telling them that the engine oil in the scooter is low and bad.
They also say that if the oil is not changed, the vehicle will catch fire. They are made to believe that he is working in the workshop. Saying that he has the oil, he will take 500 rupees and pour the oil.
When some people who were suspicious took the vehicle to the showroom and checked it, it became clear that he had poured useless curry oil.
Automobile Workshop Association Thodupuzha unit officials had given a complaint to DySP regarding this.
