In a game marked by a mess that left the Guild with two more players for half an hour at the Arena, Tricolor beat Avenida by 2-0, goals from Cristaldo and Galdino. With the result, he maintained the 100% performance, shot in the lead of the Gaucho after seven rounds and already with classification forwarded to the next phase. Confirmation may occur this Monday, if São José does not beat Juventude.

Renato presented a novelty in the team. In goal. Adriel received his first opportunity in 2023, with Brenno in reserve. The defensive line was the starter, with fabio, Bruno Alves, Kannemann e Reinaldo. The midfield had the confirmation of Villasanti, which had already been announced in the previous match. He teamed up with Pepe. ahead of them, Bitello, cristaldo e gabriel silvacom Suarez center forward. At the Avenida, striker Carlos Henrique felt muscle discomfort and gave way to João Pedro. From the opening minutes it was clear that Avenida would not go to the Arena to retreat and practice anti-match. The team played with the ball on the ground and took the first kick. At six, Grafite made a great move from left to center and played for Dionatan. He retreated to Carrilho, who hit from outside the area and the ball hit the net, on the outside, scaring Adriel.
Grêmio’s response came at 10, in a rehearsed corner kick. Reinaldo charged short and received it back. When crossing to the area, he sent it straight, under Rodolfo’s gaze. At 13, Avenida just didn’t open the scoring because Adriel made a spectacular save. On a free-kick, Garré played the ball into the corner. The Grêmio goalkeeper flew and touched with his fingertips, playing for a corner.
It took 35 minutes for Grêmio to finally kick the ball towards the goal. Suárez was the author, receiving from Fábio and hitting Rodolfo’s hands first, with his right foot.
Soon after, Avenida again came very close to scoring. Cristaldo was disarmed in the attacking field and three players from the Santa Cruz do Sul team went on the counterattack. João Pedro passed, Garré kicked and Adriel almost got a chicken. He palmed back weakly and the ball bounced off the crossbar before going out.
It was the last threat of the first half. And the teams came back the same from the locker room. Including posture. Avenida forced Kannemann to scold his teammates after he left playing from the goal kick and found space at the back of the defense, and the Argentine avoided the worst.

At 12, the move that changed the game. It was a foul for Grêmio on the side of the field, almost on the corner flag. Avenida was getting ready to score when Suárez called Pepê’s attention to take a quick shot. The midfielder did just that, right after stopping the ball with the same right foot that he passed to the Uruguayan. Suárez passed first and Cristaldo kicked into the empty net and opened the scoring.
Avenida’s players attacked the arbitration. They surrounded and complained. The Military Brigade entered the field to contain the athletes. In the confusion, the referee expelled the two defenders, Micael and Marcão. Grêmio would have half an hour with victory and two more players.

Renato left the team more offensive to take advantage of the superiority. He took out Kannemann and put in Diego Souza, in addition to exchanging Pepê for Carballo. With two more, Grêmio increased the pressure. Gabriel Silva, twice, made Rodolfo practice two beautiful defenses, in kicks from the edge of the area. Bitello, from outside the area, also took a risk and the goalkeeper took it. Diego Souza also scared, in conclusion of the half moon.
The pressure paid off in the 47th minute. Suárez hit from the edge of the area, Rodolfo stretched out to defend, but the rebound fell to Galdino, who just pushed it into the net. The 100% of use is maintained, and the classification is a matter of time.
