Actor Vilis Daudzins expresses his opinion on changing street names in connection with the Ukrainian war in the TV24 program.
The actor of the New Riga Theater, Vilis Vadgiņs, expresses his opinion on the change of street names in Latvia in the TV24 program “Dienas personality ar Velta Puriņa”.
“I understand why this is done in Ukraine, because the irritation and anger is terrible. And the fact that this power in Russia uses great spirits to explain the occupation, care and its incomparable value with other cultures,” says Daudzins.
According to him, Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy are used as a banner for cruel and dishonest things.
“I don’t think it should be done here. For example, I wouldn’t want Moskavas Street to be renamed differently,” the actor believes.
