Öberg was trampled by Voborníková
OBERHOF/STOCKHOLM. A disappointed Hanna Öberg finished twelfth in the chase start.

After the silver in the sprint, Hanna Öberg had a great position for a new medal in the pursuit start.
But it ended with five failures and a twelfth place finish.

What the TV viewers also missed was that on the final lap, Öberg, who went out in a group with six other riders, was trampled by Tereza Voborníková on the hill and lost a lot of time.
– The ride time doesn’t look so good, but I lose quite a lot at the end as well after being trampled on the hill on the last lap and then I lose the group I was with when I went down on my knees. You’re pretty good with lactic acid when you get there on the last lap, so it was difficult to get it home, she says.
Didn’t get an apology

– We were a group out there on the last lap, Linn was also there, she was behind me. We went up there in two ranks and one of the girls stepped on my skis. Then it comes to a screeching halt and I went down on my knees. As I said, Linn was also a little hindered because she was behind me. If you take several things that go against you on the same day, you may have removed them later.
Did you talk to the Czech girl afterwards?
– No, I haven’t spoken to her.
At the finish line, the 27-year-old was upset and had a long discussion with head coach Johannes Lukas. The Swede waved his hands frantically and looked upset.
Left the mixed zone
Lukas tells Sportbladet that they discussed, among other things, the situation that happened on the final lap.
– Of course we have talked about it. We will of course look into it more, but it is not something we will make a big deal about. More that the active should apologize, he says.
Tereza Voborníková left the mixed zone afterwards without commenting on the incident.
