Throughout 2022 we shared with you the games we spend our free time with. There are lots of games that we play for leisure, to entertain ourselves and help escape this harsh reality that causes inconvenience to everyone. In different ways, we all deal with similar issues and games are a great escape.
However, we also spend time watching series and movies, from dramas to comedies and of course, animations, something we regularly talk about on our website. Now, to start 2023, we decided to share with you the series, films and animations that we are watching, so that you can get to know us a little more and find out what we are up to.
As with games, the series and movies we watch say a lot about us and the way we like to spend our time. We have very varied tastes and we also like to take a risk and take a look at genres that we usually overlook. We have our favorites and that series that marked us, which also makes us feel like sharing some of the “experiences” that we do, perhaps it would be better to say “risks” that we take.
This is not meant to review a series or movie, just to share what we’ve been watching, without any guilt, but occasionally we can make a recommendation or suggest something. Considering how precious time is, maybe we can even help you with some choices.
Physical 100 (Netflix)
As a passionate about the world of fitness, this series is fascinating. Physical 100 is a series recorded in Korea in which 100 people with impressive bodies compete in different events. These 100 people range from Olympic athletes, arm wrestling champions, fitness influencers, bodybuilders, crossfitters, and more. The winner of the trials is sometimes surprising. It’s not always the strongest, or the most impressive body.

Moon – The Other Side of the Moon
Science fiction lover that I am, here I am to present another film that fascinated me as soon as I discovered it. Moon – The Other Side of the Moon, a 2009 film by director Duncan Jones, a Sci-fi/Drama that tells the unforeseen events of astronaut Sam Bell, who works in a lunar mine. Here, not everything that appears to be is in fact taken for granted, Bell begins to question multiple occurrences, to doubt his sanity and even his own existence. This drama captivates from start to finish, manages to hold us until the last minute. Anyone who doesn’t know the movie I strongly recommend giving it a chance, they will be surprised.

Attack on Titan
I continue to watch Attack on Titan already waiting for the one-hour special that will start the last part. After watching the second season, I’m now on the third and the epic and intense moments continue. Despite already knowing much of what will happen due to the manga, up to a certain point, I continue to be surprised by the power of the adaptation, the soundtrack and the work of the voice actors, who give great intensity to the scenes. Also, I’m looking forward to seeing some scenes in the anime version and how they promise to be even more spectacular.

The Next Day – RTP2
Usually anyone who sees Hong Sang-Soo, the Korean director, already knows what he’s going to do. A regular presence in our movie theaters and more recently on TVCine channels. Interestingly, I ended up watching O Dia Seguinte (The Day After) on RTP2, this film from 2017. Perhaps not being a film for everyone, it does not stand out for its filming techniques, rather it offers us a humanist, not always optimistic, perspective on relationships. among humans, in this case through the prism of a book publisher. The monochromatic tone, the conversations, some more delightful and some contemplative segments, form an unusual narrative, which the director seeks to reinvent.

Cunk on Earth – Netflix
Cunk on Earth is probably the best audiovisual content I’ve watched in the last year. Thanks to YouTube’s algorithm, several clips from the series found their way to me and, I must confess, I was instantly intrigued. In short, Cunk on Earth is a “mockumentary” where researcher Philomena Cunk looks into some of the most important events in human history, while posing the most absurd and improbable questions to renowned experts. With an irrepressible performance from actress Diane Morgan, it is literally laughs from start to finish. You can check out some of these questions in the video above, with the entire series available on Netflix.
