Ukrainian defenders destroyed 61 cruise missiles and five kamikaze drones
During today’s Russian airstrike, Ukrainian soldiers landed a cruise missile using man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS), which are designed to destroy helicopters and aircraft.
A video recording of the combat work of soldiers from the mobile fire group of the radio engineering brigade “Bohdan Khmelnytskyi” was published by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was quoted by UNIAN. The missile was hit in the southern part of the country.
“We continue to carry out combat missions and destroy the enemy in the Ukrainian skies,” the message said. As a result of the hit, a cloud of thick smoke appeared in the sky at the place of the rocket. Debris fell in the field.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, during the morning attack on February 10, Russia fired more than fifty cruise missiles at Ukraine, most of which were shot down by air defense forces.
According to him, in the western, central and eastern regions, there are damages to high-voltage infrastructure and generation, which may lead to interruption of the power supply.
The Russians are known to have penetrated thermal and hydroelectric facilities and transformers in six regions.
In total, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 61 cruise missiles and five kamikaze drones.
