In order to detect breast cancer in a timely manner to reduce the mortality conditions due to this disease in the women of the commune; The Municipal Government of Contla de Juan Cuamatzi, through the Sixth Regiduría and in coordination with the IMSS Bienestar Hospital, began the campaign of mammograms “De corazón, cuídate” which, through the mobile unit of the Ministry of Health of the State (SESA) and the DIF State System (SEDIF), arrives in the municipality to serve all women from 40 to 69 years of age, on Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Main Square.
In this regard, the Health Councilor Araceli Lopantzi Flores, mentioned that these efforts are being made at the initiative of Municipal President Eddy Roldán; They are a fundamental part of the public policies undertaken by his government in terms of health, hence the importance of joint work with state authorities, so that these benefits reach the population free of charge. “…We invite all the women of our municipality to take advantage of this benefit that has been managed, in order to detect this problem in time, we try to create a culture in carrying out this type of preventive studies, since all tumors due to small However they may seem, when detected early they can make a difference and thus provide adequate treatment…” he reported.
At the same time, the person in charge of the Mammography Mobile Health Unit, Cesar García Chávez; reported that it is important that they attend the study, since according to the statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO), breast cancer is the most frequent malignant tumor among women in the world. In the case of Mexico, it represents the first cause of death from cancer in women, which is why it is essential to carry out this study for timely detection. In the same way, he explained that the requirements to go to carry out the study are basic, being attended by women from 40 to 69 years of age, presenting their INE, CURP and arriving in optimal conditions to carry out the study, coming clean, without deodorants, powders, and even earrings or chains
He emphasized that this mammography mobile health unit has traveled to several municipalities in the State, which have made the necessary arrangements for his visit; where he reported that they have been in Zacatelco, Apetatitlán, Nativitas, Chiautempan, Huamantla, Cuapiaxtla, Apizaco, Yauhquemehcan, Hueyotlipan, Xaltocan and Españita, hoping to visit next week more municipalities that will benefit from this study
Through these actions, the mayor Eddy Roldán, seeks to maintain the culture of prevention and awareness among this sector of the population, likewise, with this visit, there have been 3 occasions so far this year, as the mammography campaign is approaching. Some are free through the DIF Municipal System and now with the Contla Community Hospital. All this with the intention of having a timely detection of this disease, immediate and adequate care, which allows reducing the risks of breast removal and even saving the lives of women from Contella.
