Hispanic committed wave of bank robberies: accusation in New York

Willian Andrade Jordan, 31, was arrested yesterday as a suspect in a wave of robberies at bank agencies on Long Island (NY).

Nassau County police detained Andrade after he reportedly entered the Bank of America located at 2300 Grand Avenue in Baldwin around 1:15 p.m. Friday, he approached the cashier and passed her a note threatening her with a gun and a knife. It is not clear if he actually had those weapons with him.

They say that Andrade He demanded $3,000. but the 29-year-old cashier walked away from her booth and the suspect fled on foot without any money. At about 4:50 pm detectives caught him on Long Beach Road in Freeport.

Police identified him as responsible for four other bank robberies in Rockville Centre, Garden City and Westbury in early Januarylisted Daily Voice.

Andrade was accused of robbery. All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
