Bayern host Bochum at the Allianz Arena Stadium on Saturday (11/2/2023) evening WIB. Die Roten’s winning goals were scored by three different players; Thomas Mueller, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry (penalties).
With this victory, Bayern means that they have recorded two consecutive wins after defeating Wolfsburg last week. Julian Nagelsmann’s team is still firmly at the top of the standings with 43 points from 20 matches, three points ahead of Borussia Dortmund below.
Meanwhile Bochum slipped to 15th place. Bochum collected 19 points, only three points away from Stuttgart in the relegation zone.

Course of the Match
Bayern Munich dominated the game. However, Bayern’s first chance was just born in the 16th minute after Eric Choupo-Moting’s header from close range was still off the mark.
Afterwards Bochum frustrated Bayern with a solid defense. Only after half an hour had passed, Bayern were able to create another chance after Serge Gnabry’s kick was saved by Manuel Reinmann.
Bayern’s deadlock was finally broken in the 41st minute. Thomas Mueller got his name on the scoreboard while changing the position to 1-0.
Bayern’s opening goal could not be separated from mistakes at the back of Bochum. Bochum’s right-back Saidy Janko failed to control the ball properly so Mueller could take over. The last-named player then outwitted Riemann, who had already left his nest and then struck into an empty goal.
Bayern almost scored an additional goal shortly after. Serge Gnabry’s corner from the right wing was headed by Matthijs de Ligt. The ball that was pushed over by Reinmann was met by Leon Goretzka with a header from close range. Too bad, the ball rolled thinly outside the goalposts.
Bochum finally put Yann Sommer to the test. Kevin Stoeger’s cross from a free kick was blocked, but the ball came back and was met by Philipp Hofmann with a powerful header. Sommer had to brush the ball over the crossbar.
The decision to include Kingsley Coman proved to be the right one. In the 64th minute Coman scored against Bochum to double Bayern’s lead to 2-0.
Bayern’s second goal was born from good teamwork. Leroy Sane’s pass to Goretzka was continued by Jamal Musiala with a low pass to Coman on the right side of the penalty box. Coma then finished with a low shot that volleyed Reinmann.
Penalty! The referee pointed to the spot in Bochum’s box following Janko’s foul on Gnabry. In the 74th minute, Gnabry himself stepped up as the executioner then sent Reimann tumbling the wrong way. Bayern 3, Bochum 0.
In the last minutes, Bayern again missed a good opportunity to add to his goal. The substitute duo Arijon Ibrahimovic and Matthys Tel failed to penetrate the Bochum goal from close range.
