The person charged with the student murders was fired from his university job

CHARGED FOR FOUR MURDER: PhD student Bryan Kohberger, who was arrested in Pennsylvania last December.

Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of killing four students in Idaho, was in a confrontation with a professor at the time of the murders. His behavior towards women is said to have also caused concern.

In December, Bryan Kohberger was arrested and charged with premeditated murder after four students were found murdered in a house in the small town of Moscow in Idaho.

The case was a mystery for several weeks before the arrest, which surprised many who had followed the case.

Kohberger studied at Washington State University in Washington, a short drive from Moscow in the neighboring state. He had no previous convictions.

Now it emerges that his behavior at the university where he studied was under surveillance around the time of the murders.

The New York Times writes that the university had received warnings about how he behaved around women, and he was also in conflict with the professor for whom he worked as a teaching assistant.

KILLED IN THE COLLECTIVE: The house where the four students were killed last November.

During the two weeks before the murders, he was called to a meeting with the faculty where he worked to address a growing concern about the behavior. The concern increased further in the time after the murders, before it was known that he was a suspect.

It ended with the faculty of criminal justice, where he studied, firing him as a teaching assistant, which, according to the New York Times, is a rarity.

During the meeting where it was decided that he had to be fired, it also emerged that some female students had reported that they felt uncomfortable around Kohberger.

In one of the cases, two unnamed sources state that he allegedly followed a student to her car.

However, it was not his behavior towards women that caused him to lose his job, but that he had not lived up to the rules for “professional behaviour” in relation to the faculty.

In the resignation letter, which News Nation has obtained access to, it is known that he is no longer employed after December 31, 2022, following several incidents with the professor he worked for.

WORKED AT THE RESTAURANT: Two of the murder victims, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle, worked at this restaurant in Moscow. The accused Kohberger is said to have visited this restaurant at least twice.

This was before the faculty knew that their student had been charged with the murder of four people.

A hearing is expected in June where the prosecution will present more evidence.

Kohberger has pleaded not guilty to the murders. DNA from Kohberger is said to have matched what was found on a knife sheath at the scene.

No motive is known, nor whether he knew the four young people who were killed.

However, he is said to have visited a restaurant where two of the murder victims, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle, worked, at least twice. A former colleague of the students has stated this People Magazine.
