King Charles’ official emblem honors the monarch’s love of nature and includes the national flowers of the four countries that make up Great Britain.
It is the technology company Apple’s former chief designer Johny Ive who is behind the emblem.
The emblem is adorned by the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the clover of Northern Ireland. In the center is a drawing of St. Edward’s Crown, which is the crown placed on the head of King Charles during his coronation on 6 May in Westminster Abbey.
Ive only used the colors of the Great Britain flag, where the flowers are in red, the crown in blue and the background is white.
– The design is inspired by King Charles’ love of plants and nature, says Ive.
– The emblem speaks to the happy optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of this new Carolean era for Britain, he says further.
The emblem will be used for all activities related to the coronation and national events.
