According to him, the air object was shot down because it was moving at an altitude that made it a potential threat to civilian aircraft.

He also clarified that there are no signs of a military threat to people on the ground from this facility. At the same time, US officials cannot yet confirm whether there was any surveillance equipment on the downed object.
