Algerian media reported today, Friday, that the residents of Tissemsilt, western Algeria, felt a new earthquake this morning.

The center stated that the tremor had a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale, and added that its epicenter was 8 km northeast of Burj al-Amir Abd al-Qadir in the state of Tissemsilt.

There were no reports of material or human losses.

It is noteworthy that Algeria has witnessed during the past few days more than one earthquake in several states.

On the other hand, the death toll from the earthquake in Turkey rose to more than 19,000 dead, and more than 77,000 injured, and the Turkish government decided to transport travelers to and from the earthquake zones “for free” via Turkish Airlines to facilitate rescue operations.

In Syria, the number of earthquake victims has risen to more than 5,000 dead and more than 7,000 injured, bringing the total number of earthquake deaths in Turkey and Syria to nearly 23,000 dead and 83,000 injured.
