A road inspector from Rijkswaterstaat was surprised this afternoon by a truck that had been left unattended on the emergency lane along the N2 near Veldhoven. The driver was nowhere to be seen in any fields or roads. The truck will be removed after the evening rush hour, that was the intention, Rijkswaterstaat reported just after five.
More than half an hour later it was announced that the truck had left the spot. It is therefore likely that there was no breakdown and the driver had another reason to leave his vehicle behind. He can count on a fine, because the road inspector has drawn up an official report.
