Good news on the consumption front for those who use pellet stoves, in fact the cost of the renowned biomass is about to collapse
The expensive energy that has hit not only Italy, but the whole of Europe, has literally brought citizens and families to their knees who are now struggling to make ends meet and are getting ever closer to the poverty line.
The arrival of winter has further worsened the situation, the shorter days force us to keep the light on for longer and the arrival of ever lower temperatures forces us to find solutions to heat the house.
Just the sweigh for warm-up it is the one that has the greatest impact on the domestic budget and we need to pay attention to what we use and how we use it. For example, it is always better to prefer heating with a gas boiler rather than an electric stove which sends consumption skyrocketing.
Even the boiler itself must be chosen carefully, a model that is too old and without adequate maintenance could even prove to be dangerous. Better then to choose a condensing boiler, capable of minimizing waste and guaranteeing optimal performance.
Offers on the price of pellets
In recent years, another efficient and ecological method of heating your home has been spreading: the pellet stove. The name pellet indicates the particular cylinder shape rather than the material. Initially, in fact, the pellet was formed from other components and was used to feed the cattle. Only in the 70s will the wood pellets that we use at home.
Today, the pellets for heating it has become very popular due to its not particularly high cost and an important ecological aspect: the pellet combustion emits into the atmosphere the same CO2 subtracted by plants during their growth, as opposed to fossil fuels extracted from the subsoil.
Plus his price is about to drop further, after having already suffered a decrease in December. In fact, in the new Budget Law, the Government has provided for a lowering of VAT from 22% to 10% for all biomass. A measure that also helps producers, who had been forced to lower prices because the deposits were now full in the November period where it was possible to pay as much as 1 euro per kilo. The decrease in the cost of wood on the international market is also a further factor that should affect the collapse in the price of pellets.
