(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Oh Myeong-eon = The suspicion of manipulation of the scores of the KBS music program ‘Music Bank’ was cleared as a result of the police investigation.

According to KBS on the 10th, Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul conducted an investigation (internal investigation) into the production team of KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ before being booked, but concluded that they were innocent.

In May of last year, the police received a complaint from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission’s People’s Sinmungo in the form of a complaint that the production team of ‘Music Bank’ intentionally manipulated singer Lim Young-woong’s score in the process of determining the singer’s ranking, and conducted an investigation before being booked.

Lim Young-woong was nominated for first place along with girl group Le Seraphim in the broadcast on May 13 last year, but received 0 points in the number of broadcasts and was pushed to second place in the total score.

At the time, KBS denied the suspicion of score manipulation and said, “Since Lim Young-woong’s ‘Can We Meet Again’ was not broadcast on KBS TV, radio, and digital content on the 2nd to 8th, which is the ranking aggregation period, the number of broadcasts was counted as 0 points. ” has been explained.
