Residents of Kyiv woke up to a power outage on Friday morning.
The company DTEK announced that the electricity was switched off throughout the city to save electricity. The reason was a possible new massive missile attack.
Before nine o’clock, the flight alarm echoed through the capital’s streets. An hour later, the first explosions rang out. Local authorities report that the air force is working to shoot down Russian missiles. So far, it is unclear whether anything in the city has been hit.
But in a number of other cities, the Russian missiles are said to have slipped through Ukraine’s air defenses.
Several cities under attack
Local authorities report that infrastructure has been hit in the big city of Kharkiv. 17 airstrikes have been reported in Zaporizhzhya in the space of an hour on the night of Friday.
– Unknown extent of damage, but the attacks were aimed at power supply and critical infrastructure. This is reported by the city’s acting mayor, Anatoly Kurtev.

Millions of Ukrainians lost power
The aim of the Russian terrorist bombing against civilian targets is to weaken the Ukrainian will to fight.

Friday’s attack marks the eleventh time Ukrainian infrastructure has been attacked since October 10.

The first cruise missiles were fired from Russian TU-95 strategic bombers.
In addition, the Russians attacked with Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea. Three Russian warships with up to 20 Kalibri missiles were in positions out in the Black Sea when the attack began.
There are also reports that missiles may have been fired from Russian aircraft from Belarus.
