Although the name has changed, the new game, which is in fact a follow-up to the My Summer Vacation series, will appear this summer.
On the 9th, Millennium Kitchen held ‘Natsumon! 20th Century Summer Vacation (hereafter referred to as Natsumon)’ has released a teaser video containing the release date. Although it is not the same game as my summer vacation series as the title is different, it is regarded as a de facto sequel in that it deals with daily life in the background of summer vacation.
Natsumon is a game where you can experience everyday life by putting yourself in the shoes of a boy on summer vacation. At the shrine, you can do radio gymnastics, collect insects, fish, and swim in the sea. In addition, it is selected as a feature that allows you to enjoy the Japanese atmosphere of midsummer to the fullest, such as participating in a festival, watching fireworks, or bathing in a hot spring.
My Summer Vacation series, the predecessor of Millennium Kitchen, follows a similar format. The main content of the game is that the main character, who is on summer vacation, lives in a rural village in the late 1900s. Depending on the title, daily activities such as milking, playing in the water, and riding a bicycle are prepared, so you can feel the tranquility of the Japanese countryside.
Meanwhile, in addition to the My Summer Vacation series, Millennium Kitchen has also released games dealing with similar themes, such as ‘Crayon Shinchan, Doctor’s Summer Vacation ~Never-ending 7-Day Journey~’. As a developer who has made more than 5 games during summer vacation, Natsumon has a good chance of showing a high level of understanding of the material.
Natsumon is scheduled to be released on the Nintendo Switch, and plans for Korean language support have not been announced so far.
