On Thursday, the traditional diplomatic dinner took place at the Palace in Oslo. Then the foreign ambassadors to Norway were invited to a gala dinner.
The royal couple are the hosts for the foreign diplomats, and in addition, Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Astrid Mrs. Ferner were also present.
In addition to the foreign ambassadors and their spouses, Norwegian government members are also on the guest list together with Oslo’s mayor Marianne Borgen. A total of 155 guests have been invited.
According to See and listen contained the menu for the evening’s gala dinner including salmon tartare, seaweed chips and tomato broth, as well as shellfish sausage, potato wedges, pumpkin and pickled onions. Skrei is also served, and for dessert chocolate tart with blackberries and ice cream.
The diplomatic dinner has been a tradition since the time of King Haakon and Queen Maud, and this year’s gala dinner is the first that has been organized since 2019, before the corona pandemic.
