A Different MU Makes Carragher Worried

Jakarta

Ex-Liverpool Jamie Carragher impressed with the developments Manchester United under Erik ten Hag. MU’s revival signal made Carragher worried.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2012, MU has struggled. Changing managers, MU last won a trophy in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.

This season, along with Erik ten Hag, MU is showing a positive signal. Mathematically, the Red Devils still have the chance to win trophies in four competitions.

MU has just lost points against Leeds United in the Premier League. Carragher also considered that MU was not a candidate for the championship. However, in general terms, MU’s progress with Ten Hag impressed Carragher.

“For me it felt different in the era of Erik ten Hag,” said Carragher as reported Metro.

“I’ve always felt there was negativity around previous managers. In the Jose Mourinho era it was like there was a problem between him and the management.”

“Louis van Gaal, I’m not sure the fans have ever agreed with his style of football. As for Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer), no one ever thought he would become a manager who could lead United to championships.”

“But now it feels like they have a manager who knows what he’s doing. It also feels like there’s a passion at United that we haven’t seen in a long time.”

“That feeling is coming back. I think there was something going on at Manchester United that I haven’t seen with other managers. So that’s a concern, yes!” said Carragher.
