Rescuers replied to the little one: Good morning, hero
While rescuers in Turkey continue to search for survivors under the rubble as a result of the devastating earthquake that struck the country, a Turkish child amazed relief workers by sleeping deep under the rubble until the moment he was pulled out, without knowing of the disaster that left thousands dead and injured.
The little boy, who woke up from his deep slumber, was surprised by the rescuers, who were taking him out from among the rubble and covering him to protect him from the cold. He asked them, “What’s going on?”, To which they replied, “Good morning, hero.”
The little boy, who was innocently rubbing his eyes, was astonished, in a state of astonishment that ended in his crying, in a video circulated extensively on social media.
It is noteworthy that a violent earthquake measuring 7.8 degrees struck Turkey and neighboring Syria in the early hours of Monday morning, destroying thousands of buildings, including many residential buildings and hospitals, and leaving thousands injured and homeless.
Today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the death toll from the earthquake had risen to 8,574, and 49,133 were injured.
Rescuers are still trying to find survivors trapped under the rubble.
