The Handling Team directly in the field led by the Head of the Sangihe Regional Health Office, Dr. Handry Pasandaran ME, stated that the agency immediately acted quickly after receiving instructions from the Acting Regent.

Pasandaran, revealed that there were 5 cases of dengue fever found in the Mahengetang island area, 2 of them died. “For this reason, the government will immediately carry out direct handling in the field,” said Pasandaran, who at that time was determined to sail the sea with the team even though it was in bumpy conditions, Tuesday to Wednesday (7-8/2/2023).
From the data that was successfully summarized, the Sangihe Regional Health Office team carried out a series of activities, including fogging in approximately 200 residents’ houses, houses of worship and schools. In addition, the activity was also coupled with socialization on the prevention and control of dengue outbreaks, free medical treatment, Covid-19 vaccination and the delivery of a number of aids in the form of mosquito nets and abates to residents of Mahengetang island.
