He ignores a “road closed” sign, his pick-up ends very badly

On January 28, the California Highway Patrol found a pickup truck stuck in a sinkhole. However, it was not for lack of warning the driver!

On January 28, the California Highway Patrol felt compelled to remind California motorists that road signs are not planted for decoration. A sign indicated that a road, Kasson Road, was closed, since it had completely collapsed a little further. However, at least three drivers ignored him, including a pick-up that ended very badly!

A behavior that could only lead them to the catastrophe… What did not fail to happen when these motorists fell into a hole, right in the middle of the road. California Highway Patrol officers did not say whether the crashes resulted in injuries. But it is at least certain that the cars are no longer reusable!

The signage was however clear: the road was closed that day. This did not prevent some motorists from not stopping, perhaps imagining circumvent the prohibitions of the California Highway Patrol. Problem: these panels were not there by chance. A photo shows the fate reserved for these reckless drivers: the road has visibly collapsed under their cars!

“It happened again. You can’t make things like that up. It was 100% preventable. There are no excuses. Signs are clear, visible and unobstructed. If you pass a closed road, you are also subject to a fine. ROAD CLOSED signs and barricades are strategically placed for your safety. DO NOT PASS a ‘road closure’ sign. If you encounter a ‘road closure’, turn around and find another road. This incident happened on Kasson Road”wrote la California Highway Patrol on his Facebook account.

Irreparable damage to a pick-up

A white Ford F-150 pick-up ended up in the chasm that had formed on the road. It is the third vehicle in the space of a few days to violate the driving ban, despite the reinforcement of the security system by the California Highway Patrol. A few days ago it was a Honda CR-V which had first planted itself in the hole.

In response, new barricades and other signs were put up, to prevent the situation from happening again. And yet the driver of a Volkswagen Passat also ignored the ban, then ending up in the ditch. Accidents that could have been easily avoided…
