A bus in Tsalapitsa ran over a Plovdiv resident who was sleeping under it

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man from Plovdiv who was run over by a bus in Tsalapitsa. According to the evidence collected so far, the 44-year-old was under the vehicle, and the driver did not understand and drove off, the Ministry of the Interior announced.

Around 5:30 a.m. yesterday, the Regional Office in Stamboliyski received a report that a man was lying in a helpless state at a turnoff on the roadway. A medical team arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead.

It was established that the deceased lived in Plovdiv. He had laid down under the parked bus the night before and was run over as it drove away.

The driver was tested for the use of alcohol and drugs, his samples were negative. Work on the initiated pre-trial proceedings continues.
