According to many critics, Western sanctions have failed to stop Russia’s war against Ukraine. It has failed to undermine Russia’s economic war machine. Instead, they threaten to destabilize the global economy. No wonder that Western sanctions are seen as ineffective not only by Russia but also in EU member states and harm the EU itself more than Russia.
