Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark will together supply at least 100 old tanks to Ukraine

Recently, Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder (PS) announced that our country has been thinking for some time about buying back those tanks, in order to send them to Ukraine.

But the high price in particular plays tricks on the government. “The proposals we have received so far are extremely expensive,” Dedonder said in an interview with VRT NWS. “They ask up to 500,000 euros for a tank that we sold for 15,000 euros. And they are still in the same bad shape as they were then.”

It is unclear whether this is what was intended in the statement by Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark. Defense is currently unavailable for comment.
