Corona isolation obligation will no longer apply in Berlin and Brandenburg from February 13th

After Brandenburg, Berlin is also creating the isolation requirement for people with a corona infection. From mid-February, those affected will no longer be required to stay in isolation for five days. According to the health administration, the Senate decided on Tuesday that the Corona Ordinance, which regulates this, expires on February 13.

Health Senator Ulrike Gote (Greens) had already announced the move a few days ago. She appealed to people to self-isolate in case of infection.

The cancellation of the isolation requirement has been agreed with Brandenburg. This step was announced here a week ago. The Ministry of Health announced last Tuesday that the obligation to separate for people infected with Sars-CoV-2 will be lifted on February 13.

“Fortunately, the corona situation has eased a lot. In Brandenburg, the three corona warning lights have been completely green for almost two weeks,” said Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher (Greens) as a reason.

In several federal states, it was already abolished in November, including in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, people infected with corona have no longer had to isolate themselves since the beginning of the month.
