Years after the announcement, Barbra Streisand will release her autobiography this fall. Viking Publishers announced on Tuesday that the book My Name is Barbra will be released on November 7.
The singer and actress announced in 2015 that she would release her memoirs within two years, but that never happened. In 2021, Streisand told Jimmy Fallon’s talk show that she only had time to finish the book during the corona pandemic.
My Name is Barbra tells the life story of the eighty-year-old artist “in her own words”, according to the publisher.
“From her childhood in Brooklyn, to her first performances in New York nightclubs, to her big break in the musical and film Funny Girl and the many successes in the years that followed.”
