The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the best teams in the NFL in recent years. The Chiefs reached the Super Bowl two straight years. They even managed to win one of them. They narrowly lost the other to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady (45). After missing out on the Super Bowl hat-trick last year, the team is back in contention for the title in 2023.
The Kansas City Chiefs were formed in 1960 from the Dallas Texans, formed in 1952. After founding the Dallas Cowboys forced the Texans to look for a new market and relocate. The Kansas City Texans then became the Kansas City Chiefs.
Andy Reid (64) has been the Chiefs’ head coach since 2013. Under Reid, Kansas City has won the division seven times. And at least since megastar Patrick Mahomes (27) was signed, the Chiefs are the all-time favorite in the AFC West.
Some NFL teams haven’t played a Super Bowl in decades. Mahomes and the Chiefs have appeared in the finals three times in the past four years.

The best team in the AFC. These are the chiefs. With a record of 14-3, Kansas City secured the AFC’s No. 1 seed. This allows the team to rest in the wildcard round of the playoffs.

The Chiefs beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first playoff game. Although the result was closer than expected, the Chiefs confidently moved into the last and all-important playoff round. The AFC conference championship game was then against the Cincinnati Bengals. With a field goal a few seconds before the end, the Chiefs still won the duel. The narrow 23:20 success is enough for the Super Bowl participation. The Chiefs have done it again!
