Two robberies took place in Tilburg this morning in quick succession. The first report came in around a quarter to five, on the Heuvel. A suspect threatened a 20-year-old man with a knife and demanded his belongings. After the robber got the things, he ran away with another man towards the Schouwburgring. Subsequently, around five o’clock, a 42-year-old man was attacked on the Paleisring. Two people threatened him with a knife and also demanded all his belongings from this victim. Then they ran away towards the Heuvelstraat.
The description of the perpetrators was very similar. Around nine o’clock the police were able to arrest three suspects on the Statenlaan. It concerns two boys from Deurne (14, 17) and a 17-year-old boy from Tilburg. During the search, the police found several items that can be linked to the robberies.
