President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has sent a letter to the DPR regarding the names of the candidates Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI). This was revealed in the 15th DPR RI plenary meeting for the third trial period for the 2022-2023 session year.
“The Board Leaders have received 7 letters from the President of the Republic of Indonesia. (Among them) R03 dated 18 January 2023 regarding the candidate for Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia,” said Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Gerindra Fraction Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Tuesday (7/2/2023).
When met separately, Member of Commission XI DPR RI Andreas Eddy Susetyo said that there were two names of candidates who entered for the position of Deputy Governor of BI. They are the Head of the BI Payment System Policy Department, Fillianingsih Hendarta, and the Head of the Regional Department, who is also Assistant to the Governor of BI, Dwi Pranoto.
“There are 2 (names of BI deputy governor candidates), Filli and Dwi,” Andreas told reporters.
The two names will later take the fit and proper test conducted by the DPR RI. One of those elected will replace the current BI Deputy Governor Dody Budi Waluyo whose term of office will soon end in April 2023.
Andreas said that Commission XI of the DPR RI would conduct internal discussions on Wednesday (8/2) tomorrow. The discussion was related to the fit and proper test schedule for BI Deputy Governor candidates.
“Tomorrow there will be internal discussions with Commission XI,” said Andreas.
