In the Škoda MB I plant, where the Octavia and Enyaq models are produced, there will be only morning shifts from Tuesday to Friday. “It will be the same in the MB I welding shop, where the night shift from Monday to Tuesday and Thursday afternoon will also be run in a limited mode,” the weekly said. Workers in the MB B paint shop will only have morning shifts this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Tuesday will also be in a limited mode.
At the MB II plant, where the Fabia, Scala and Kamiq models are manufactured, all three shifts today have been cancelled, it will operate as normal for the rest of the week. They also canceled today’s shifts in the MB A paint shop, the rest of the week will be in a limited mode.
Shifts are also canceled in Vrchlabí in a 20-shift regime for the assembly of gearboxes and machining. Production there will stop at 18:00 on Thursday and resume on Monday 6 February at 18:00. In some other workplaces, for example in the distillery, some shifts will be in a limited mode.
“The KOVO trade unions again negotiated compensation for the affected employees in the amount of 80 percent of the average wage, i.e. approx. daily earnings,” the weekly added.
