Mercedes won the anniversary edition of the program. The jury, consisting of master pastry chef Robèrt van Beckhoven and culinary writer Janny van der Heijden, chose her above the other finalists. Presenter André van Duin announced this at the end of the final.
“Mercedes is a very justified winner and she has kept her head cool,” said Van der Heijden. Van Beckhoven also praised her flavors and her creativity. The two judges said that Jan was actually their favorite throughout the series, but that he dropped too many stitches on the last assignment.
The first assignment the bakers received was a technical one. They had to make a dog out of chocolate. Jannie was allowed to designate the winner of the assignment because her dog Nhaan, who can often be seen in the program, was a model. Zineb won with her baking.
The second assignment was to make a party cake. The candidates were allowed to work on this for 7.5 hours. On top of the cake, the number 10 had to come, because of the tenth season of All of Holland Bakes.
The bakers had to make tartelettes, savory profiteroles, small pastries and petit fours. They were given five hours for that. On the second day, they had to finish and decorate the structure in 2.5 hours.
